Peggy Fussell

Peggy Fussell is an Illustration graduate from Pratt Institute. She works mostly in Fashion design and Merchandising. She has a variety of work around the country. Her style of working is very loose with nice incorporation of line work. Her medium of choice is digital with mixed media such as watercolor, color-pencil and even textured papers and acrylic drybrushing. She has worked in Advertising, as an art director in a small graphic business in New York City while she was attending college. Her other clients include: The Urbanite Magazine, Whiskey Island Pirate Shop, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, Johns Hopkins University, The Walters Art Museum, The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The Baltimore Sun, La Dolce Diva, Inc.

Sharon Dahl, is a commercial illustrator who mostly focuses around fashion and advertising. She has worked for many magazines and other publishing companies. Some of her clients include:Macys, mjZoom, Woman's Day, Avon, Ford Thunderbird, Miami Home, D Magazine, The Bon Marche, American Express, Newsweek, Toolbox Studios, Washington Mutual, The 5th Avenue Theatre, Voyages Magazine, Seattle Homes&Lifestyles, American Heart Assoc., Thousand Trails, Swedish Hospital, Seattle Public Library. Her style is a bit too simple for me. I feel almost that the work is too cute. Color schemes are interesting but maybe a bit too candy.

She attended the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Art with her degree in painting. Illustrator Research {Jesse Le Doux}


























Jesse Le Doux has been creating art for over seven years in art Direction in Seattle and working with record pop companies doing graphic images. LeDoux created works for such artists such as The Shins, Iron and Wine, and Hot Hot Heat before starting his own graphic design business. I find his work very interesting and creative in design work. His graphic elements go very nicely with his hand lettered typography.

Ken Gamage

Ken Gamage is a very interesting artist who focuses on the theme of childhood memories when portraying his ideas for illustration. I really enjoy his work. It is mostly executed digitally, but the artist's touch can be seen in its depiction. He attended Sheridan College and and is currently working on a BFA Program. Some of his clients include: Disney publishing, Mc-Graw-Hill, The Washington Post, Hooked on Phonics, Scholastic and countless others.

Dempsey

Diane Dempsey is an Illustrator who studied at Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. She has been illustrating ever since she was a child. Her education was focused around Graphic Design and Illustration. Some of her clients include : McGraw Hill Publishing, The San Diego Zoo, and Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. Jan Stamm works with a very different style of creative work. She does representational work through a whimsical style. Some of her clients include : Hay House, Inc., Marks and Spencer, Schurman Design, Harcourt Education among others. She has shown her work at a lot of different areas such as: the annual Artwalk, Art Academy, Westin Hotel, Federal Building, Bread and Cie, La Jolla Library and other local venues.

Her work has some commercial influences and overall is very aesthetically pleasing.

Hacker

Michael Hacker studied in graphic design & advertising at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, professor Walter Lürzer. He is originally from Austria and doing illustration and graphic design work for a multitude of clients. Some of his clients include : Iglo, Eskimo, FM4 Frequency, Lisa Film, Nova Rock, Wienenergie, Bank Austria or FCB Kobza. I contributed editorial illustrations for magazines like News, Wiener, Maxima and Faces among others.

I really love his style and the overall presence his work has. The character concepts and representational work really strike me as creative and beautiful.

Peter de Seve studied at Parsons School of Design with his background in fine art and Illustration. Some of his clients include: Time, Newsweek, Atlantic Monthly, Smithsonian, Premiere, and Entertainment Weekly. He also frequently contributes covers to The New Yorker. In 2002, he illustrated Mark Twain's A Murder, a Mystery and a Marriage, published for the first time by W.W.Norton. Seve has designed posters for Broadway shows, as well as characters for numerous animated feature films, produced by Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar, and Twentieth Century Fox (Blue Sky Studios). His credits include The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Prince of Egypt, Mulan, A Bug's Life, Tarzan, and the box office hit, Ice Age, for which he created all of the characters. In addition to his extensive work in animated feature film, de Sève has provided designs for television commercials, including a Nike spot, titled "Destination Moon," which won a silver Clio award.

His work is incredible and I really love his character concepts.

Ana Bagayan

Ana Bagayan is a very talented illustrator and fine artist. She received her BFA in Illustration from the Art Center in Pasadena. Her characters and compositions are wonderful and whimsical in the concept. I absolutely love seeing the work of Illustrators that come out of Art Center. I find the technique very moving and well rendered. Her use of colors is very nice in selection too.
