Illustrator Research {Nathan Ota}

Nathan Ota, has been one of my constant Illustrators that I keep coming back to. Not only has he been a past instructor of mine, but also has some amazing work. He started out in Pasadena, at the Art Center school of Design. He has had many clients that he has worked for such as: Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, San Diego Union Tribune, Sacramento News & Review, LA Weekly, City Beat. Business Week, US News & World Report, Writers Guild of America West, Mix, Jazziz, Electronic Musician, Guitar Player, Music & Computers, Swing, Request, Keyboard, Movieline, Computer Life, Computer Gaming World, Stocks and Commodities, Financial Executive. etc. He has most recently been in the Gallery Scene all over Los Angeles.

One of the most interesting things about his work is that he always utilizes a limited color palette along with never using black or white. I also am fascinated with his techniques of using symbols of nature and living creatures in his illustrations. I myself am intrigued by nature and all that it has to intell. I definitely feel everyone should check out his website.
