Illustrator Research {Todd Casey}

{link}

Todd Casey is an Illustrator who mostly works through painting in Acrylic. He has been working as an Illustrator for many years now. Casey had studied at many different Universities before he began his career as an Illustrator. He first studied at Masschusetts College of Art, where he received his BFA in Illustration. Casey then left for San Francisco to study at the Academy of Art for 2D Animation for his graduate study. After graduating, Todd Casey went to new heights and decided to embrace the Ringling School of Design, and in doing so changing his main major to painting. I was going through his website, which unfortunately, seems to be underwraps, and I was unable to view his individual works. From what I could see in his thumbnails, he seems to really be focused around a lot of portraits. Some of them are monochromatic and others in differnt medias. I am especially like the cover art he did for the Transformsers book. I am drawn to his very gestural type acrylic painting of his children's books. They are very limited in color palette and are very whimsical in execution.
